My journey in this lifetime has been a journey of the heart. In 1975, I learned of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters®, and realized them to be the gift of a lifetime. They contained so many mysteries to be discovered and practical truths to be revealed.
My past struggle to understand myself–sometimes feeling deep in my heart that something was missing and at other times being propelled and comforted by an unknown love in my heart—at last began to take on meaning. Through the Teachings of the Ascended Masters® I found value in being heart-centered and came to understand the significance of listening to my heart and responding to those promptings.
I found a path where I could not only engage and experience my own soul’s connection to something higher that constantly challenged me to move onward and upward, but also, a path in which I could consciously participate in the grand scheme of life, feeling as if I was making a difference with heartfelt prayers and decrees for mankind.
This giving and receiving of God’s Light through prayers that are spoken are known as decrees. Decrees provide a framework from which to draw down the light of our Higher Self and direct its’ flow to those in need. In the midst of decrees there is a strong sense of attunement with God’s energy, and a knowing that change is taking place. Once this flow is experienced, it truly cannot be denied.
This Light, I came to learn, is the source of everything including the answers to what our human minds perceive as problems. So while the mysteries of life may not always be available for immediate access, the Teachings of the Ascended Masters® have provided the road, the roadmap and very specialized tools to get us back home, which I also learned is our soul’s ascension in that Light—right back to God!
Knowing that the ascension is the goal for this life continually provides a daily reminder, that even though there is no beginning or ending to the cycle of life, there is a secure way for the soul to regain its reunion with God, beginning right within our very own heart. The following decree as given by Saint Germain (the Hierarch of the Aquarian Age) says it all!
I AM the Light of the Heart
I AM the light of the heart
Shining in the darkness of being
And changing all into the golden treasury
of the mind of Christ.
I AM projecting my love
Out into the world
To erase all errors
And to break down all barriers.
I AM the power of infinite love,
Amplifying itself
Until it is victorious,
World without end!
